STEP IN TIME, LINE DANCERS
We are Paula and Dawn and we run an improver/intermediate line dance class which is generally held at Walton Village Hall on Thursday evenings. Once a month on the second Thursday of the month the class is held at Ashcott Village Hall from 7-9pm. We have been teaching modern line dancing for a number of years at Coxley Memorial Hall on Wednesday evenings.
In 2019 we were approached by a fellow teacher, Linda Garrett, who previously ran the class, and she asked us if we would like to take it over as she was moving away. We agreed and, despite the enforced
lockdown breaks we had during Covid, we are going strong. We
are a relatively small group but we have fun and really enjoy what
we do. Line dancing is great exercise and it has been proven to
be good for the brain. We dance to all types of music and line
dancing incorporates many dance styles.
We also hold regular monthly socials at Walton Hall generally on the
first weekend of the month and we hold afternoon socials there 4 times a year – all levels of dancers welcome.
